Concert & Symphonic Band Pre-UIL this Wednesday, March 10th @ Marcus H.S. The Concert & Symphonic Bands will be performing at the Marcus Cluster Pre-UIL Concert this coming Wednesday. This is an important step in our preparation for the U.I.L. Concert & Sightreading Contest in late March. Information was sent home last week. Great Job at the Ensemble Recital and LISD Ensemble Contest We are very proud of the Concert and Symphonic Band Students who participated in the Ensemble Recital and Contest this past week. The groups performed very well and received many helpful and complimentary comments from the judges. Way to go Downing Band!!! We would especially like to thank the parents who helped put together the dinner portion of the Ensemble Recital/Dinner. Your hard work and dedication to the students of the Downing Band is appreciated very much. We could not do what we do without your support. Thank You Salerno’s & Party City !!! We would also like to thank Salerno’s Restaurant for donating the sauce for the meal, as well as Party City for donating the decorations for the cafeteria.
